Riley Marshall is a curious woman full of life, though the colors of pills is what she tries to not focus on. The pills make her “normal”, whatever that is, yet it is what her mother wants for her. She loves riding her bike, visiting the beach, collecting shells, and of course reading about book boyfriends. Wondering if that love she reads about does exist.
Mike Newport is heartbroken, popping pills so he can work non-stop as a corporate marketing advisor. He gets through everyday with his head buried in his paperwork, aspiring to make partner, and trying to forget the underlying cause of all this. This is how he copes, until it was not. When his boss tells him, he is required to take a 3-week vacation in Galveston, he was not happy. But then an odd encounter on the beach happens with a girl who sends his head spinning. Will he find the one thing he least expected?
A Little Pill Called Love is a contemporary romance that will make your soul happy!!! Taking place in the seaside town of Galveston, TX Jas T Ward captures the heart of the town. As a resident of Texas, I am thrilled to read about local towns with their unique restaurants being illustrated throughout the pages. From the weather, to the water, and all the places in between, you will be transported to Galveston just in time for a summer vacay!!!!
Riley Marshall is a character that you do not find too often in contemporary romances. She is whimsical, curious, and full of life. With her love for books, book boyfriends, random beach treasures, and her hesitance towards crowds, I truly can relate to her. She is also a breath of fresh air because she is all natural, no makeup and no fuss, inherently beautiful without knowing.
Mike Newport’s character brings a charm to the story. He is the handsome man you would find in the pages of your favorite steamy novel without the arrogance he obtains from his good looks. He is a naturally a great guy with so much potential, yet he pours himself into his work to hide any feelings he might have left.
This is definitely a 2020 summer read, whether on the beach, by the pool, or at home due to COVID19. It does have some shocking moments that might hit you straight in the feels. Let me know if you enjoy this book as much as I have. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to plan a small vacay to Galveston!!!!!

Author Jas T. Ward Bio:
Welcome to my worlds, take a seat, get to know me and the characters and I assure you… You’ll be glad you did.” ~Jas T Ward
Born and raised in Texas, Ward is a mixed bag of creativity spinning tales of paranormal, urban fantasy and even dark romance and horror; wrapped within a love story. She’s been dared to write a few contemporary romances but even those reads have characters that are real and twisted by their creator.
Mother of three diverse and independent bold children, Ward prides herself for being the “Queen Niche’ B!tch” which is a handy way of saying she sucks writing to market.
But her readers don’t seem to mind.
